Isabella Rossellini, William Hurt
Mary and Adam have been married for 30 years. After suffering from a brief memory lapse, Mary is scared into dealing with issues to do with getting older. Adam, whilst acutely aware of his age, refuses to prepare for this next stage in their lives. They drift apart, each looking to recapture some of their youth for a fleeting moment.
Although Hurt and Rossellini are undisputedly fine actors, the script was a bit disjointed and didn’t hold together too well. It was extremely refreshing to see a rom com with 60 year olds, but I found it a little too slow to be enjoyable.
